Boarding

Our boarding program is intentionally small and home based, designed to offer dogs a calm, comfortable experience that feels familiar and secure. By caring for your pup in our own home, we are able maintain consistent routines, provide plenty of one on one attention, and monitor each dog closely throughout the day. We never mix dogs with unfamiliar dogs, ensuring a safe, stress-free environment for all personalities and comfort levels. 

Because we limit the number of dogs we take at a time, we are able to tailor each stay to the individual — whether that means quiet downtime, gentle enrichment, extra snuggles, or simply maintaining the routines that they’re used to at home. Our boarding services prioritize comfort, safety, and true individualized care, creating a dependable home away from home experience for every pup who stays with us.

Boarding is $40 per day for the first dog and $30 per day for each additional dog. We offer a 10% discount for military and first responders.

We prorate partial days:

  • Drop offs after 12pm are a half day charge.

  • Pick ups before 12pm are a half day charge.

  • Pick ups after 12pm are charged for a full day.

We value your time and are flexible with drop off and pick up scheduling.

Pricing

At Rotten Dog, your pup enjoys a safe, comfortable stay inside our home, not a kennel building. Each dog has their own personal area within the house, along with plenty of individual attention throughout the day. We maintain a consistent routine, offering at least six potty breaks daily, starting around 6:00 AM with the final outing in the evening.

Every dog receives customized enrichment based on their needs and preferences. Activities may include: 
• puzzle toys and lick mats
• hide and seek sniffy games
• ball or frisbee time
• one on one play time or cuddles with a staff member
• limited playtime with one or two other approved dogs (only if appropriate and requested)

Photo updates are included with every stay at no extra cost.

Add On Services:

For dogs who enjoy the water, seasonal pool swims may be added for $25 per swim. We also offer private training add ons during your dog’s stay, billed at our standard private lesson rates. While this is not a board and train program, these sessions are ideal for beginning to address specific problem areas, polishing existing skills, or trying out any of the sports we offer. All training is conducted by Meghan or Shannon, and we recommend scheduling follow up one-on-one lessons after your return to continue progress. 

We intentionally keep our boarding numbers small so we can provide the highest level of individualized care. With a high caregiver to dog ratio and a home based environment, each pup receives meaningful interaction, enrichment, and comfort, even if they prefer not to socialize with other dogs. We live on site, so your dog is never left alone overnight.

Each dog is provided with comfortable bedding, blankets, raised cots, and fresh water at all times. Our caregivers are trained and experienced, and we are committed to offering attentive, loving care to every pup who stays with us.
